Kafta sentenced to 3 years in Luzira for torturing Pretty Nicole

The Kira Chief Magistrate Court has sentenced Queen Kaftah, an 18-year-old student of Trinity College Nabweru to three years in prison for torturing a friend.

Kaftah, a Tanzanian national was charged with aggravated torture and causing grievous harm to her juvenile friend over a lover where prosecution alleges that the accused committed the crime on January 8^th, 2023 Nsasa Zone in Kira Municipality.

Kafta was convicted on Tuesday by the Kira Chief Magistrate, Roselyn Nsenge on her own plea of guilt.

The magistrate ruled that the sentence of 3 years is to serve as a lesson to the convict and to deter other would-be offenders from committing the same offence.

She was returned to Luzira prison to serve her sentence but before the ruling, Kafta broke down in court and asked the magistrate not to give her a harsh punishment.

Earlier this year, Kaftah together with two other female friends appeared in a viral video undressing and torturing a 15-year-old Pretty Nicole for trying to snatch her boyfriend Derrick Lwanga.
