Kabaka in Diaspora receiving treatment – Mayiga

Prof. Badru Kateregga, a senior member of the Buganda Lukiiko has asked the Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga to give opportunity to people who can afford to visit the Kabaka wherever he is being treated from.

His request comes at a time when various people especially in Buganda are wondering where the Kabaka is.

It should be recalled that before the Kabaka Birthday Run, Katikkiro Mayiga noted that the Kabaka would not be present to flag off the run as has been the case because he was out of the country for medical reasons.

Now during the 31st sitting of the Buganda Lukiiko at Bulange Mengo on Tuesday, Prof. Kateregga revealed that if given the opportunity, he is ready to go check on the Kabaka wherever he is.

In his response, the Katikkiro confirmed that Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II is in Diaspora receiving treatment and he is better with hopes that he soon will return to Uganda at the opportune time.

He further noted that there are people who visit the Kabaka on a daily basis at where he is undergoing treatment and that his doctors limited him from attending functions to stabilize his condition.
