The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Mwenda Mutebi the second has on Thursday celebrated his 68th birthday in style.

The celebrations were held in the palace Lubiri Mengo where a few invited guests and family members attended.

The Kabaka arrived at Lubiri at about midday. He was received by the Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga and Daudi Mpanga, the minister in charge of special assignments in the kingdom.

After his speech, the Kabaka served his guests and family members with the cake.

Some of the guests that honoured the invitation included former Katikkiros, Joseph Mulwanyammuli Ssemwogerere and Dan Muliika, Archbishop of Kampala Joseph Ssemogerere, Supreme Mufti Sheikh Muhammad Ggalabuzi, Archbishop of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Pastor Dr Moses Ndimukiika Maka and Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.

Outside the palace, the king’s subjects cheered and jubilated. The most notable ones were those from Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s camp (MK Army), led by the Event organizer, Balam Barugahare.

It should be noted that Kabaka has been struggling with some diseases which were revealed to the world as allergies.

Ever since this year began, Kabaka appeared in public on Easter as he by-passed one of the beaches to greet his people.

At the moment he looks very healthy without why diseases and living a happy life like the Kabaka he is.

The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II was born on April 13, 1955.
