Police in Kamuli district are investigating two Uganda National Examination Board –UNEB invigilators and other 36 people over allegations of examination malpractices.

The Busonga North Regional Police Spokesperson Michael Kasadha says other suspects are the Head Teacher, Laboratory technician and 34 students of Verona College Kamuli.

According to the Police, 34 students were found discussing suspected examination materials as they were waiting for their turn to do examinations at around midday yesterday.

Kasadha says it was during the monitoring that the UNEB scouts found these students sharing suspected examination materials since there was no thorough check up of students prior to entering the examination room.

He says they recovered the evidential value and statements have been recorded from the suspects to facilitate the ongoing inquiries.

On Tuesday, the UCE candidates sat for their physics practical paper in the morning and fine art in nature in the afternoon.
