The Ministry of Internal Affairs has officially unveiled a call center aimed at responding to issues from members of the public.

Recently, the Ministry’s Spokesperson Simon Peter Mundeyi took journalists on a guided tour to the strong room from where passports are printed, and said the centre will work as an interaction centre through which the ministry will address concerns from Ugandans regarding different issues.

The Permanent Secretary for Internal Affairs Ministry Lt Gen Joseph Musanyufu says they will allow the general public to report any mischief in the process of stamping out corruption in their operations.

Musanyufu says people will be in position to make prompt inquiries about passports mostly for Ugandans and VISA for immigrants and get feedback than moving to offices as it has been on a daily basis.

Musanyufu added that, this center is efficient and professionally managed and it will also help in following up on increasing reports of human trafficking by the security among others needs hence advising the public to utilize the new system to save time.

The ministry’s official telephone line is +256414595945.
