At St. Mary’s Lubaga Cathedral the Archbishop of Kampala Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga said the celebration of Christmas starts with four weeks of preparation that call for Hope, Peace, Joy and Love which are the foundation pillars to harmonious living in the world.

Dr. Lwanga said the world seems to have forgotten God, but with the new born savior, Christians should renew their commitment to God and serve him with responsibility to strengthen his glory first on earth then in heaven.

He has urged president Museveni to avoid any situation that may lead the country into anarchy and to the electoral commission to organize for a credible referendum for the people to decide on the age limit and extension of term of office.

Dr. Lwanga also reiterated the challengeof pretense in this country that include media who are supposed to investigate on the truth, strikes, land conflicts, hunger in some communities, failed families, murders and theft among others with claims that its aided by the police which is a big problem pointing at the Vice president to inform his fellow government leaders about the problem.

The Vice president Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi led the central and political heads while the Katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga led the cultural side and in his speech he advised leaders always to present the people’s views to avoid conflict.

Ssekandi said it’s not too late for the people who are aggrieved with the parliamentary decision the matter has to be subjected to a referendum.
