Thousands of Christians have today 25th of Dec flocked different churches to celebrate Christmas the date on which Jesus Christ was born.

The day starts with the Christmas vigil mass that ushers believers into this joyous celebration.

Pope Francis in Christmas Eve remarks said the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem is linked to the migrations of millions of people today who are forced to leave homelands for a better life, or just for survival, and expressed hope that let there be no one to feel no room for them on this Earth.”

Pope Francis told Christians at St Peter’s Basilica that Christmas is a “simple story” about the birth of Jesus’ something that changed “human history forever for everything and that night became a source of hope.”

Pope Francis said Christmas is a time for turning the power of fear into the power of charity.

At the Christmas mass Pope Francis described the new born Jesus as a saviour, hope, joy and cementer of peace for all especially the suffering. He give his traditional “Urbi et Orbi” translated as “to the city and to the world”)
