Ntungamo Municipality MP Yona Musinguzi has tabled evidential document before the Ad hoc committee chaired by the Ibanda North MP Xavier Kyooma investigating corruption allegations against the minister of Science and technology Dr Monica Musenero.
Among the documents was the auditor general’s report of June 2021 implicating the minister for misuse and diversion of funds, violation of procurement process, and also operating a project without feasibility study.
Musinguzi further alleged that Dr. Musenero procured machines purported to be for usage during the manufacturing and testing of Covid vaccines which are now lying ideal and not installed.
He says Dr. Musenero hoodwinked government that she was to develop a Covid vaccine together with other scientists ending up swindling over 31 billion shillings.
Meanwhile before Musinguzi appeared before the committee he created a scene of panic when he alleged that a parliamentary cleaner had tried to steal the file that contained his evidence on insisting to cause chaos the cleaner returned it.
Dr. Musenero is also expected in the committee to clarify on the accusations raised by Hon. Yonna Musinguzi.
