The aspiring Kampala Lord Mayor also Kawempe North Mp Latif Ssebaggala has threatened to demonstrate over the starving of private teachers.
Latif says it’s embarrassing to note that the core pillars of Education especially the teachers at lower level have been left to suffer on expense of government.
He has given government one week to come out with modalities of supporting private teachers yet their fellow colleagues in public schools are being paid.
This comes at the time when several private teachers have diverted to do other demining jobs like maize roasting, hocking of eats, which Ssebagala says it’s a shame to the country.
President Yoweri Museveni during one of his state of Nations address to Covid pandemic, promised 20bn shillings to private teacher which up to date has not released.
