As the Catholic Church celebrates the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, marked every 8th the institute of the Good Samaritan Sisters founded by the late Emmanuel Cardinal Nsubuga in 1978 honours the same day on which members of the institute profess their vows in religious life.

At the special Eucharistic celebration at their Mother House in Nalukolongo, Rubaga Divison today four sisters have professed their final vows and they include; Rev. Sr. Maria Maurice Babirye from Misiji Parish Kiyinda-Mityana diocese, Rev. Sr. Maria Rose Nabulya and Rev. Sr. Maria Evelyn Nakachwa both from Bukuumi Parish in Hoima diocese and Sr. Maria Mildred Abitegeka the Administrator of Kankobe Orphanage Home from Bujumbura Parish Hoima diocese.

In his homily the Archbishop of Kampala His Grace Paul Ssemogerere has reminded the religious sisters to remain good and committed servants of God and daughters of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Archbishop Ssemogerere used the same occasion to remind the public especially Christians to prepare themselves spiritually and repent during this Advent period.

He also urged the congregation to mind about the environment if it’s not protected man will one time lose his settlement which is a sin before God for man to destroy nature.
