The second aspirant to be nominated Rtd. Lt. General Henry Tumukunde while setting off from his offices at Kololo noted with concern the continued deployment at his offices is a signal that there will not be a free and fair elections.

Tumukunde has threatened to quit the presidential race should the ruling National Resistance Movement-NRM government continue oppressing opposition players as they head into the campaign period.

Speaking at the media before setting off for nominations scheduled at 2:00pm, Tumukunde noted that the ruling NRM party have had a procession which was stopped who escorted their candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for nomination but blocking others to do the same.

Tumukunde also said that he is certain that Ugandans will choose the best candidate among all aspirants and his only role will be to mobilize them to go and vote.
Tumukunde has been led by two police patrol vehicles.
