FUFA, Cranes Players to pay Jjuuko’s Shs20m FIFA fine

Uganda Cranes players and Federation of Uganda Football Association -FUFA President Moses Magogo have agreed to clear the fine handed to Murushid Jjuuko by the Federation of International Football Association- FIFA.

Jjuuko was sent off in the game against Mali for elbowing an opponent. In a communication dated October 9 and sent to Jjuuko and copied to FUFA, the defender was also further slapped with a fine of 5,000 Swiss Francs 5,000 (20 Million Shillings).

Although the player was eligible to take part in today’s Uganda Cranes game against Kenya’s Harambee Stars, he will miss the game after failing to raise the fine.

According to a statement from Ahmed Hussein, the FUFA Communications Director, the players and officials in the camp have agreed to pay Jjuuko’s fine.

The decision was agreed on when Magogo paid a visit to the camp at Imperial Botanical Beach Hotel in Entebbe.

According to Hussein, the players will contribute 8.8 Million Shillings, the technical team 7.3 Million while Magogo will contribute. 1.8 Million.  Hussein adds that Jjuuko will also contribute 1 Million Shillings.
