The opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Electoral Commission has declared plans of electing the party Presidential flag bearer ahead of the 2021 general elections.

This has been revealed to the press by the Deputy Party Spokesperson John Kikonyogo saying the process will be completed by February 2020 just after their ongoing party structure consultations.

Some of the qualifications needed from any candidate; he or she must be 35 years of age and above, an A’ level certificate, must be a Ugandan citizen as well as a fully registered party member.

Kikonyogo says once the nominations are completed, they will write to the National Electoral Commission to inform them before embarking on the consultations around the country.

He adds that after the elections of their party flag bearer they will then sit with other opposition political players to decide on fronting a joint presidential candidate.
