The opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has accused the Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) in West Nile for deliberately preventing its officials from carrying their Northern region tour.

Last week, FDC announced their four days tour in West Nile and requested police together with its sister security agencies to desist from interfere its tour campaign but instead provide security.

Addressing a weekly press conference at their headquarters in Najjanankumbi, the FDC Deputy Spokesman John Kikonyogo said that RDCs include Nahori Oya and William Komakech of Adjumani and Moyo districts respectively connived with police to stop their talk shows in various radio stations yet they paid huge sums of money to be hosted.

Kikonyogo adds that many of their meetings have been dispersed by tear gas yet they informed the security early about this tour which he says its violation of human rights.

He however demands RDCs to refund the 1.6 million shillings the party officials had paid at these respective radio stations.
