The Forum for Democratic Change –FDC has spoken out on its former leader Dr. Kiiza Besigye’s invitation to observe elections in Kenya.

Besigye who is also the leader of People’s Front for Transition and the National Unity Platform –NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine left for Kenya amongst the delegation of prominent African leaders that have been invited as special election observers in the looming Kenyan polls.

Kenyans head to the polls on August9, 2022 to elect a new president and his deputy, governors, senators, members of the national assembly and members of the county assembly.

Addressing a weekly press conference at Najjanankumbi, the FDC Deputy Spokesperson John Kikonyogo says that Besigye’s invitation to Kenya is a sign that he is still trusted and respected on the political scene which Ugandans should not undermine if they want to change Uganda’s politics for the better.

He also rallies Ugandans to borrow a leaf from Kenya by preaching peace mainly during election times instead of repeating similar mistakes in every election exercise.
