With the longer awaited 13th Presidential address as the 21 day lockdown period ends today many are treating themselves on speculations and anxiety.

The three week lockdown that preceded the first 14 day lockdown that started on March 31st to April 14th and extended to May 5th 2020 left all public transported closed, selling points of non food items, bars, hotels and restraints all closed except food markets and shops, drugs and veterinary shops and only lorries carrying food items and trucks were left on the road.

Also staff described as essential was allowed to stay operational on the orders of from President Yoweri Museveni in line with the World Health Organisations and Ministry of Health Emergency Standards.

The presidential address that is expected at 8pm some say he may open private transport but with restrictions to ease movement however health experts like Dr. Ronald Kasyaba from the Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau says opening movements when the country is experiencing rising numbers of Corona cases that stand at 89 might lead all what has been achieved to waste.

It is said private cars will resume with strictly two people, hardware shops and painterly areas.

Meanwhile some of the institutions that have made a fortune by innovating out of the pandemic is Gulu Archdiocese through Most Reverend John Baptist Odama who has produced a hand sanitizer called Bukola instant hand sanitizer from Cassava and it’s already on the market in 500ml bottle at a costs of 5000/=
