The Kabula County Member of Parliament James Kakooza has appealed to National Resistance Movement or Army (NRM/A) to work out mechanisms of fighting corruption in the country.

His recommendation was in respect to the NRM/A 35 years of Liberation celebrations which have been scientifically celebrated at State House Entebbe under the theme “A call to play our Duty in Securing Our Nation’s Future”.

Kakooza said corruption has become an endemic and NRM needs to curb it right from the government Ministries, Agencies and ideologically teach Ugandans how to secure the country.

He however commended NRM/A for the achievements attained like roads, electricity, Factories and peace both in and outside Uganda.

Kakooza lost to his rival Enos Asiimwe Kinywamachunde in the 2020 NRM parliamentary primaries and finally lost the seat in the 2021 general elections.
