One Person has died and two others sustained injuries when a building along Kafumbe Mukasa- Road in Mbiro Zone Kesenyi II Kampala Central Division collapsed on them today.
Salim Uhuru the Mayor Kampala Central Division among the leaders who visited the site attributed the accident to heavy rains experienced now days that has weakened the soil that covered the foundation of the building where the workers were but police is investigating the cause of the accident.
Uhuru disclosed Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) engineers visited the site and granted the contractors’ license after fulfilling all the required necessities.
The body of the deceased has been taken to Mulago Hospital for postmortem while the injured were rushed to Doctors Clinic, Mengo, in Mengo Kisenyi for treatment.
Meanwhile the Police in Kampala have launched a man hunt for the engineers responsible for the collapsed building according to the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire
