The embattled President of the Uganda Medical Association-UMA, Dr. Samuel Oledo has vowed to fight opposition doctors who want to use the association to fight the sitting Government led by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

This follows a temporary injunction issued today by the Head of Civil Division of the High Court, Justice Musa Ssekaana stopping the implementation of the outcomes of the Uganda Medical Association assembly that removed Dr. Oledo from office and elected his deputy; Dr. Edith Nakku as the President.

While speaking to the press immediately after the court session, Oledo noted that he is ready to return to office and implement his manifesto as they work with the sitting Government since it’s ready to listen to the cries of medical doctors in the country.

He also accused his opponents of double standards after they accused him of being partisan yet when he was contesting in the East African Legislative Assembly elections nobody came out to accuse him of the same.

Oledo also explained why he met President Museveni at State House Entebbe where they discussed issues including; the deployment of medical doctors, improving their welfare among others.
