Rukia Namuwanga, an aspirant for Kampala Capital City Authority Woman Lord Councilor for Bwaise I, II and III who was allegedly kidnapped on Monday this week has resurfaced according to police.

The Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango says that Namuwanga resurfaced last evening in Wobulenzi in Luwero district well dressed in clean clothes not for somebody that has spent two days in a bush.

It was reported that Namuwanga, a Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) flag bearer for Kawempe South Woman Lord Councilor and resident of Kazo Central Zone went missing from her residence on September 7 at about 6am in the morning.

Contraly to reports, Onyango says that she informed police that she was kidnapped by a woman with a knife at about 9am while returning to her home from buying drugs at a nearby pharmacy.

He further explains that Namuwanga doesn’t recognise the woman and two men in vehicle and its plate number of which she was driven to a certain busy place since she was blindfolded.

However, Namuwanga was only forced to take tablets and yellow bananas but nothing more dangerous was done to her amidst of her being dumped in a bush unconscious where she spent two days and later helped by the LC1 Chairperson in Wobulenzi according to Onyango.
