The Catholic Church has called for a joint effort of all stakeholders to end Gender Based Violence against women and girls in the country.

Fr. Joseph Ekutte, the Lubaga Hospital Chaplain while leading a sacrifice mass for the function of honoring the climax of the 16 Days of Activism to End Gender Based Violence Against Women and Girls, this morning said that many women have been emotionally and sexually violated by their husbands.

He says that others have been denied their rights to work making them dependent while many women have isolated themselves from their relatives and friends due to the experienced situation.

Fr. Ekutte however notes that there are men who are also experiencing gender based Violence though they shy away and fail to disclose the situation they are facing.
