Centenary Bank has donated equipment worth UGX 15 million to Mulago National Referral Hospital in support of their efforts to treat Covid-19 patients.

The equipment includes 4 tents of 50 people sitting capacity and 100 plastic chairs.

Beatrice Lugalambi, the Communications and Marketing Manager at Centenary Bank, while officiating at the hangover ceremony at Mulago Hospital said that Centenary Bank is committed to make sure that the health sector in the country is improved reason why they decided to offer 1% of its annual profits towards health sector.

Lugalambi adds the chairs and tents given are going to serve Covid-19 patients to sit as they wait to be served because they have been standing while others have been waiting in their cars.

Meanwhile, Rosemary Byanyima the Deputy Executive Director Mulago National Referral Hospital has thanked Centenary Bank for the efforts and disclosed that social distancing at Mulago has been a big problem since patients had nowhere to sit while waiting for services and since it’s a rainy season patients have been suffering a lot.

She calls upon other good Samaritans to come to their help in all Covid-19 related issues.
