Centenary Bank through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative has donated 20 computers and laptops to St. Cecilia Junior School Najjanankumbi to enable the pupils to embrace digital technology and learning.
Centenary Bank CSR initiative dedicates 2 percent of the bank’s previous year’s net profits annually to its customers through services like health, education, environment, church and community activities.
While addressing the media at Najjanankumbi after the donation, Allen Ayebare, the Chief Manager Corporate Affairs and Communication of Centenary Bank at Mapeera House said that giving back to customers is part of Centenary bank responsibilities especially in this period of celebrating 40 years of existence and transforming lives and communities.
Ayebare adds that they visited St. Cecilia Junior School Najjanankumbi, as a part of CSR to donate 15 computers and 5 laptops to enable the pupils embrace digital technology and learning.
Meanwhile Teddy Nankyinga the Headmistress of St. Cecilia Junior School appreciated the donation from Centenary Bank on behalf of the school saying the pupils are to be trained in technology using these computers so that they move with the digital world.
