It was co-operate social responsibility activity to assist in contributing to the meaningful life for others.

The Executive Director Nsambya Hospital Dr. Andrew Ssekitoleko hailed the support extended to them because with ever changing economy the hospitals especially those not for profit are getting over stretched in terms of operational expenses and any support from the well-wishers and donors is highly welcome.

He says hospitals have to meet huge expenses to acquire modern equipment, cost of living for health workers and paying of taxes are all a huge burden to them.

Dr. Ssekitoleko used this opportunity to appeal to government to operationalise the National Health Insurance Policy to help in improving on health services in the country.

By the end of the day at least 100 units of blood were collected by Mengo blood bank services on behalf of the Nakasero blood bank a government agency.
