The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most Rev. Stanley Ntagali has expressed dissatisfaction over the rampant kidnap and killings especially women as well as the delay in solving the murders.

While delivering his Easter message at the Church of Uganda Provincial Secretariat Namirembe, Archbishop Ntagali noted that the delay to apprehend and solve the cases related to such killers creates fear among all people in the country hence calling on Ugandans to be extra careful while celebrating Easter.

On April 1st, Christians around the world will celebrate Easter in remembrance to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

He also told journalists that the desire on the part of some government leaders and organizations to legalize abortion is also promoting a culture of death to the most vulnerable.

Ntagali further gave an example of hospital workers stealing vital drugs to sell elsewhere as a way of depriving the living of essential life-saving treatment hence leading to death.

The Archbishop said that if 80% of Ugandans who claim to be Christians renounced the culture of death and promoted life, then Uganda would be a very different place than it is today.

Ntagali applauded the Land Probe Commissioners led by Justice Catherine Bamugemereire for have given them room to explain and the promise made to investigate their land related issues in the 649 acres of land in Ntawo village Mukono district that was grabbed by scrupulous people warning the rich against grabbing land from the poor.

Meanwhile, He also condemned recent utterances by Bugangaizi East MP Onesimus Twinamatsiko in support of men who beat their wives saying that the legislature’s views do not represent the Church which condemns all forms of domestic violence.
