The Chairman Uganda Episcopal Conference Rt. Rev. Bishop Joseph Anthony Zziwa has urged Ugandans to shun evil because the risen lord Jesus Christ brings life and love for all.

Bishop Zziwa says evils like Corruption, bribery, Kidnaps, murders and land grabbing among others pose a serious challenge to whether Uganda has any believers if not Christians.

In his Easter message at his residence in Mityana Bishop Zziwa said the country needs to have a changed society ready to uphold the principles of democracy and constitutionalism.

He has called for dialogue right from the family level for Uganda to have peace.

He congratulated the Catholic fraternity and the entire country for receiving the new Pope Nuncio His Excellency Most Rev. Luigi Bianco, and the latest appointment of Msgr. Severus Jjumba the Vicar General of Masaka as the New Bishop of the Diocese who was announced on April 16th 2019.

Bishop Zziwa also rallied Ugandans to support the two great functions yet to come, the Uganda Martyrs day celebrations of June 3rd at Namugongo animated by Gulu Archdiocese and the Symposium of Member Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar SECAM that will take place in July this year still in Uganda.
