The Archdiocese of Kampala has released program when Rt. Rev. Bishop Paul Ssemogerere will taking possession of the Archdiocese as the new Archbishop.

 

The office of the chancellor has revealed that the ceremony is scheduled to take place on 25th this month 46 days since his appointment by His Holy Pope Francis on December 9th 2021.

 

In a press briefing at Lubaga cathedral, the chancellor of Kampala Fr. Dr. Pius Male Ssentumbwe said that on that day the diocese of Kasana Luweero will officially hand over the bishop to the archdiocese of Kampala at Matugga where the boundaries of Kasana Luweero end as well as Kampala Archdiocese.

 

After receiving him, he will be driven to Lubaga cathedral where the function confirming taking possession of the Archdiocese will take place beginning with reading of the official letter from Pope Francis confirming his appointment by the Pope Nuncio Archbishop Luigi Bianco .

 

Fr. Male emphasizes that the function will be attended by only a few invited persons, who will represent others but the function will be broadcast live on various media houses.
