The Bishop Emeritus of Lira diocese, Rt. Rev. Joseph Franzelli has challenged Catholic Media houses to be more creative by establishing new strategies of ensuring that companies survive in this new normal era of Covid-19 pandemic that the world is adapting.

Bishop Franzelli says many businesses have closed, jobs lost and funders ran bankrupt due to the effects Covid-19, however, the Catholic Church and its institutions should not lament but rather think of new ideas, strategies and means that will help them see opportunities in the new era.

He said this at the opening of the one week long workshop for Media managers of Catholic based Radios and Televisions in Uganda at Namugongo Faye de Charity also known as Kyooto that is under the theme; Managing Radio as a Business for Sustainability, Effective Evangelization and Social Transformation.

Bishop Franzelli says the question of how to do it always leaves gaps in any initiative introduced but if there is resolve and discernment working as a team will ease anything that was thought to be a difficult task.

More than 30 Media managers from all the Catholic dioceses in the country have attended the workshop that ends on Friday this week.
