The Auditor General, John FS Muwanga has cautioned authorities at Bukalasa Agricultural College in Luweero against subdivisions and leasing of land without the knowledge of the Land bodies like the Uganda Land Commission.

He says that this may hamper the college administration when it comes to practical lessons and demonstrations that require adequate land.

This is contained in his 2018/2019 report following a field verification of the land by the Office of the Auditor General.

It was found out that eight plots of land were allegedly curved out of the land belonging to the institution that sits on 299 acres in Wobulenzi, Luweero district and it was done in total disregard of the existing land laws.

He also notes that the College land title measuring 98 acres is untraceable.

AG Muwanga advises the college administration through Gelvan Kisolo Lule the Principal of the College, to follow up the matter with the District Land Board and Uganda Land commission with a view of reclaiming the land and also acquire land titles.
