Airtel Uganda has contributed Shs 265 million towards the Busoga Royal wedding slated on 18th November 2023.
The announcement has been made by,Japheth Aritho the Airtel Mobile Money commerce managing director during the press conference in Kampala today.
Aritho revealed that it’s with great joy that Airtel is joining thousands of Ugandans to contribute for the remarkable moment when Busoga Kingdom is getting the mother. He said this is one of the opportunities to help in cementing the bond between Airtel and Busoga Kingdom.
He however disclosed that only Shs 40 million will be in cash and the balance will be in-kind towards other necessities to make the wedding colorful.
The Katukiro of Busoga Joseph Muvawala received the donation from Airtel and thanked them for coming out to support Busoga Kingdom at this historical moment.
