Airtel – Uganda in partnership with, AAR Health Services and Blue wave Insurance have launched a product dubbed “Dwaliro Care” where they are to provide comprehensive and affordable Health Insurance cover to individuals and families.

While launching the product in Kampala ,Japhet Aritho, the Airtel Money Managing Director  said that the number of people with insurance policy in Uganda is not more than 1% and most of these are the salary earners yet a bigger percentage of the workers are not salary earners which makes it difficult to save for their lives.

Aritho adds that many people have lost property to foot hospital bills while others spend what would be called little money on a daily basis to socialize or for leisure but fail to save or contribute for health insurance hence the reason why Airtel, AAR Health Services and Blue wave Insurance are coming help people care for their health and time of illness.

Aritho disclosed that with Ddwaliro Care someone will be able to save hospital bills with Airtel Money, as low as 10,000/= on a monthly basis such that when she/he falls sick just one is assured of medical treatment without stress.

To join the Ddwaliro Care savings, one must be Registered with Airtel Money service then dail *185*7*6# and follow the prompt and save ugx 10,000 monthly or ugx 120,000 yearly.

Meanwhile Christine Nassuna the Managing Director of AAR Health Services says Ddwaliro Care Insurance is timely because many people are economically unstable so saving small amounts of money monthly or annually it will help them save their lives in case they fell sick or be able to cater for hospital bills.
