Acholi MPs threaten to decampaign NUP in Acholi for politicizing Oulanyah’s health

The Acholi region parliamentary group have threaten to mobilize people of Acholi against National Unity Platform-NUP for politicizing Speaker Jacob Oulanyah’s health.

It was reported that Ugandans based in US organized a massive demonstration yesterday to protest the treatment of Speaker Jacob Oulanyah from the United States of America.

Now, the Chairperson of the Acholi Parliamentary Group Anthony Akol while addressing journalists at parliament this Wednesday said that it’s unfair for NUP leadership to mobilize Ugandans in US to hold demonstrations against Oulanyah’s referral to USA for medical attention.

He says it’s disappointing for a party like NUP to politicize the health of Speaker Oulanyah yet there are also other Ugandans including ministers and opposition politicians that are approved by the Medical Council to have specialized treatment abroad.

It’s from this that Akol demands for an apology from NUP leadership or else they risk to be demobilized from Acholi sub region.

Oulanyah who was flown to US for medical care is battling to save his dear life ever since June last year, he has been between at Nakasero Hospital, Mulago Hospital and his home receiving treatment.
