The UPDF Historical General Elly Tumwine has interfaced with the Parliamentary Rules Committee where he has denied all the allegations leveled against him.

Appearing for the second time in the committee over the alleged intimidation of Dokolo District woman MP Cecilia Ogwal and undermining the institute of parliament based on his utterances that questioned the position of the speaker Tumwine has said all utterances are malicious and intended to injure his character.

Tumwine demanded the committee to task Hon. Ogwal to tender in an apology over her falsehood because there is no time he ever intimidated her or draw a pistol at her.

On the matter regarding Hon. Haskins Katushabe, Tumwine said their interaction on July 21st 2019 was not private because they were three and talked about security issues and alleged taking over of an abattoir by the UPDF in Kasese which was not true.

General Tumwine says he knows roles and responsibilities of parliament and the office of the speaker better than any other person hence he cannot ridicule any institution of government.
