The opposition National Unity Platform –NUP has challenged the purported removal of the Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament Francis Zaake from the position of the commissioner of parliament saying they are to discuss the matter in a special sitting and come up with a final decision.

Last week parliament censored Zaake out of the position of the commissioner of parliament basing on the accusations of misconduct and abuse of the office and the person of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among through the social media.

The NUP Secretary General, David Lewis Rubongoya while addressing journalists at party headquarters in Kamwokya this Tuesday said that Zaake is still the commissioner since the way parliament censored him lacked basing on the law and was illegal.

Meanwhile, the party spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi has condemned the sky rocketing prices of basic commodities which has greatly affected the common man challenging government to take a decisive approach on the matter to save the ordinary Ugandans from such suffering.
