As Microfinance Support Centre -MSC prepares to celebrate its 20 years of existence and service delivery, the institution has warned to arrest people including journalists and government officials that ate the Presidential Initiative on Wealth and Job Creation commonly known as Emyooga funds.

 

Delivering an account of their performance in the last 20year of service, Hellen Masika, the MSC Deputy Executive Director says that they are analyzing the performance of all groups and soon will commence the operation against those misused Emyooga funds.

 

According to the MSC Performance report, at least 231bnshs has been disbursed to a total of 6,757 SACCOs in over 134,800 associations of Emyooga with about 594,475 beneficiaries across the country.

 

She however cautions those with the poor performance of the first batch of Emyooga funds saying the institution has already received another batch of funds, expecting to provide 20mshs additional seed capital to those associations that have utilized the money well.

 

Regarding the celebrations, Masika says that they are to have regional activities known as Balazas from April to September this year by engaging politicians, journalists, and funders among others as well as holding anniversary gala and proving strategic plan to the country for the next five years of service.

 

Masika further indicates that they have disbursed over 600billion shillings to Ugandans in the last 20years of service.
