At least five people are behind bars in connection to the anonymous letters by suspected Allied Democratic Force (ADF) rebels sent to the locals threatening to attack schools and tea farms in Kabarole district.

Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson while addressing the media at Naguru today said that the operation was conducted by the territorial police in Rwenzori West working with the Flying Squad and the Uganda Police Defense Force (UPDF) at Mountain Divisions.

Last week, there were letters thrown by unknown persons warning of imminent attacks on various schools, towns and tea farms in Kabarole.

Enanga says that investigations and operations of establishing all the people behind the anonymous terroristic letters and messages have been heightened in the regions.

He says that the letters have continued to cause panic among the locals in Kabarole and the region as a whole which was developed by the attack of Lhubiriha Secondary School.
