Suspected robbers connected to broad-day violent attacks on major roads and streets of Kampala are set to be charged in Court Martial, Police have said.

Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson says that this is to be done this way due to the stringent bail conditions in the army court that will limit their opportunities of securing bail unlike the civil court where there is soft bail terms.

By last week, police had arrested at least 13 notorious suspects including the two who formed part of the gang that attacked Dawit Kasa, an Ethiopian Diplomat along Prince Charles Avenue in Kololo on February 22, 2022.

Enanga however says that they have added another set of 8 suspects now making a total of 21 people arrested in connection to these highly linked violent attacks and robberies on innocent victims in Kololo, City Centre, especially on William and Wilson Streets, Industrial Area, Kawempe, Kabalagala, Kisenyi, Nansana, Namirembe road, Luzira, Bugoloobi, Kireka and Jinja city.
