Police have issued a list of items that won’t be allowed at the National Budgetary Reading at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds tomorrow.

 

Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson says that items like guns, pistols, big bags, video cameras and sharp weapons won’t be allowed into the venue.

 

This year’s 2022/23 National Budget address will be delivered and read by the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development Matia Kasaija when Parliament opens for its next session tomorrow.

 

Enanga however says that other items like computers, audio recorders, packed food, juice, electronics, explosives and chemicals will be subjected to through searches by the security while the invited guests will have to have undergone Covid-19 test and wearing masks to access the venue.

 

Rogers Kawuma Nsereko, the Kampala Metropolitan Traffic police Commander issues advisory changes in the movement and parking of the invited guests for the National Budget Reading at Kololo saying that vehicles with White and Red stripe stickers will access the venue through Elgon terrace instead of Lower Kololo avenue and park at Eros Corner while those with White colour and Blue strip will use Wampeewo avenue and park at Hotel Africana.

 

He further says that Upper and Lower Kololo roads will be closed from the public motorists yet Acacia Avenue to Jinja road will be left in normal operation.
