The Minister for Presidency, Milly Babalanda has revealed that the body of the former Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah will return to Uganda on Friday this week.

Oulanya died at the university of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, a city in the State of Washington, US.

In a tweet today, Minister Babalanda who was tasked by the President to head the National Organizing Committee of the late Oulanyah’s burial, a number of activities of his burial will then take effect.

The programme shows that the body will arrive on Ethiopian Airlines and will be received by the Guard of Honor, Biola dancer and leaders among others at Entebbe International Airport.

The body will later on Sunday, April 3 be taken to his Muyenga residence for vigil and on Monday 4th April to Parliament for homage and tributes and on Tuesday 5th April to Kololo Ceremonial ground for State funeral service.

On the same day of April 5th, the body will be airlifted to Lalogi, the ancestral home of Oulanyah and on Thursday 7th April the burial ceremony will take place presided over by the Archbishop Church of Uganda Dr Stephen Kazimba Mugalu.

Questions about return of his body grew louder after a lightning election was conducted to replace the deceased, ostensibly to fulfill requirements of Article 82(4) of the Constitution, even before a state burial programme was released.
