Police has revealed that the local musician Catherine Kusasira is yet to record a statement about the shooting at her vehicle by the retired Major General Kasirye Gwanga last week.

The incident is said to have occurred around 10:45pm on Tuesday last week near Makindye Division offices where Gwanga’s children were reportedly buying groceries.

Earlier, Preliminary police findings indicated that trouble started after Gwanga’s children asked the occupants in Kusasira’s Premio vehicle, registration number, UAY 083Y to turn down the loud music they were playing in vain which prompted him to shoot at her car.

Speaking to the press at Central Police Station in Kampala, the Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga noted that since the incident last week, they have for several times called Kusasira to record a statement  at Katwe police station but in vain.

Enanga says that they are to consult the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) for guidance but called on any eye witness at the time of the incident to go and record a statement for police investigations.

Meanwhile, Enanga has described the recent pictured of a man nursing wounds claiming to have been attacked while at the traffic lights along Lugogo road that went viro as fake and stage, only to threaten the public.
