A total of 1,143 candidates have graduated at the 16th graduation ceremony of Makerere Business School of which 43 are inmates from Luzira prisons.

 

639 of the grandaunts were Female and 504 were males who have been conferred Diplomas and Certificates in business related academic disciplines.

 

While officiating at the graduation ceremony, Professor Barnabas Nawangwe the Vice Chancellor of Makerere University, said that many graduates fail to get jobs due to indiscipline and irresponsible conduct among other challenges which should not be the case with MuBs students.

 

Nawangwe acknowledged the contribution by the lectures and the Principal towards the nurturing of the young professionals which gives the institution, parents, families and government hope that graduates make a positive impact to the growth and development of the country.

 

Meanwhile, Professor Wasswa Balunywa the Principal MuBS has advised the graduates to desist from acts like drugs and substance abuse and homosexuality but rather focus on putting their theoretical knowledge to work to solve societal challenges.
