Members of Parliament from both the ruling National Resistance Movement-NRM and the Opposition have expressed fear over their safety.

Speaking to the Chairperson of the greater North parliamentary forum and also Mp from Gulu municipality on Democratic Party-DP ticket Lyandro Komakech, Kitigum municipality Mp Beatrice Anywar and Kapiribyong country Mp Julius Ochen, they are all uncertain of their security since the assassins have resorted to targeting politicians.

Meanwhile one of the NRM Mp from Ntoroko Gerald Rwemulikya says he is not scared and he will continue deliberating on issues that build the country without intimidation although he called for increased security to all Ugandans.

The opposition Forum for Democratic change (FDC) Deputy Secretary General Harold Kaija while at their head quarters in Najjanankumbi challenged government over its failure to name persons behind the spate of killings in the country and why instead of trading insults and calling killers pigs.
