Kampala Central Member of Parliament Muhammad Nsereko has revealed that he is soon launching a mobilization drive of at least 180 members parliament to persuade them reject amendments to Article 102 of the constitution a clause limiting presidential aspirants exceeding 75 years of age.

Nsereko, currently in parliament on an independent ticket and formerly National Resistance Movement (NRM) member branded together with three others as a “Rebel MP,” anticipates a lot of huddles in the struggle but remains determined to confront and defeat the bill.

He attacked President Yoweri Museveni for showing nothing in the 3 decades he has been in power urging Ugandans not to be derailed by political actors who feel threatened without the person of the NRM national chairman.

One of them Jalia Bintu (Woman MP, Masindi) said she would consult first with her people before she can take a position on the matter.

Starting Monday next week, MP Nsereko says he and his group will be rolling out their roadmap to block the change in age limit.
