The Archbishop of Kampala Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga has reminded parents to take full responsibility of nurturing children and be exemplary before them in order to have peaceful families that are helpful to the community.

Just days to the beginning of the second term, Dr Lwanga says many parents are giving a bad picture to young ones by fighting, committing adultery, drunkenness which leaves the country at crossroads of having a responsible generation in the future.

He said this at Namugongo Martyrs Shrine Alter where he wedded 29 couples in a mass wedding over the weekend.

He again explains that domestic violence is another factor that has eroded families hence challenging all leaders to take special guidance to families.

Meanwhile, the State Minister for Higher Education Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo also reminds parents to reserve time for counseling their children in the ending days of their holidays.

He further warns them against associating with negative peers that could easily drive them into sexual practices including homosexuality which is rampant in schools.

The second term is officially starting on May 28th for boarders and May 29th for day scholars.
