The minister of state for Mineral Development Sarah Opendi has raised alarm over Mafias who what to kill her.
She alleges that those who want to kill him are those in mining sector due to their dubious deals that have caused government loses in taxes.
She said that these groups are tracking her movements to block her efforts of restoring order in the mining sector and also exposing people who are stealing government resources in this sector.
She adds that rightful investors are blocked and frustrated thus giving up to mafia groups.
She further accused the mining police enforcers for even at one time blocking and chasing URA staffs whom she had requested to be deployed at mining centres to collect taxes.
