Government has advised Safe boda riders to embrace COVID-19 vaccination to help in fully reopening of the country.

 

Minister of State for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, Kabuye Kyofatogabye, while addressing safe boda riders at their head offices in Kyebando Kawempe division on the reopening of two weeks massive COVID-19 vaccination said that to date Uganda has enough vaccines to vaccinate every eligible person so it’s upon safe boda riders to champion the awareness.

 

Kyofa adds that since safe boda riders move to each and every corner of the country it’s important for them to be vaccinated to avoid the pandemic spread.

 

He has disclosed that if the public shun the vaccination process the government will be tempted to make it compulsory and he has thanked some government agencies which have already started to stop people accessing them without vaccination certificates.

 

Somuson Ricky the co-founder and executive director of safe boda says they decided to vaccinate all their members to stop them from acquiring the pandemic as well as helping government to reach on the targeted number of vaccinated people before fully reopening the economy next year.
