Masaka diocese has today ordained 12 in priesthood, 16 deaconate and 15 seminarians to the Holy Orders at Kitovu Cathedral Parish.
The function led by the ordinary of the diocese Rt. Rev. Bishop John Baptist Kaggwa the ordained have been called to live a life of holiness, create a good relationship amongst themselves as priests and the laity to foster evangelization work.
Bishop Kaggwa also turned to the congregation to see the priests with a parental eye pray and assist them in their apostolate than tempting them.
Among the ordained priests are Fr George Gonzaga Mayanja, Fr Nicholas Mayanja, Fr Julius Luswata, Fr Leonard Kaweesa, Fr Mbaaga Tuzinde Ssenkungu, Fr Ronald Muyanja, Fr Francis Ssuuna, Fr John Baptist Ssendawula Waswa, Fr Gonzaga Lukyamuzi, Fr Elias Tumwesigye and Fr Ambrose Ssemugga.
The function has been attended by among others Bishop Emeritus Moroto diocese Rt Rev Henry Ssentongo, former Vicar General Msgr Joseph Kato Ssempungu, priests and religious Politicians like Hon Mathias Mpuuga MP for Masaka Municipality, Mary Babirye Kabanda woman mp masaka, Florence Nsmayanja mp kalungu west, Jude Mbabaali chairman masaka district.
