A 35 year old Psychologist Isaac Mukwaya who is allegedly seen in a Video that went viral trying to overrun a traffic police officer has been charged and remanded at Luzira prisons until 20th June 2023
In a case file presented to the Buganda Road Court presided over by Magistrate Ronald Kayizi this afternoon Mukwaya was slapped with two counts; careless driving and failure to stop when signaled by a traffic police officer.
The state prosecutor Ivan Kyazze informed the court that inquiries into the case are still ongoing.
Mukwaya has however denied all the charges and his lawyers tendered in their application for bail but court deferred it to next Tuesday 20th June.
Mukwaya a resident of Mbuya Nakawa Division is alleged to have committed the said offences on 12th June at Jinja Road in Kampala and was arrested on Tuesday following a video that exposed the incident as he tried to overrun a traffic officer Josam Katongole.
