The Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has appointed a team of leaders to handle the complaints of people from Kawempe Davison on issues of property Valuation.

This follows a petition to the Lord Mayor by the leaders of Kawempe on 5th June 2019 over little information about property valuation that attracted Lukwago to sit and listen to each individual at the division.

While in Kawempe at the Division headquarters, Lukwago said many people in Kampala are complaining over Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) charges on property saying it’s exorbitant and has affected revenue collection in the city.

Lukwago adds that this appointed team will listen to each and every complainant from Kawempe and will educate them about the ideal charge a landlord is supposed to pay once the authority harmonies the issue of property tax.

Recently, the institution completed its exercise of updating property valuation rolls for the past year with the expectations completing the process before the start of the 2019/20 financial year.
