Three members of the Boda Boda 2010 group have been acquitted of any charges by the General Court Martial in Makindye.

Those who have gained their freedom after almost a year in prison include; Jonathan Kayondo, Hassan Ssengooba and Sunday Ssemogerere.

Court found out that the evidence adduced by the state prosecutors was not incriminating them on any of the alleged offences.

Thirteen people, all members of the Boda boda 2010 group including their patron Abudallah Kitatta are being accused of unlawful possession of two pistols, an SMG rifle, ammunitions and military stores including uniforms and caps.

The Seven Court Panel chaired by Lt. Gen. Andrew Gutti ruled on Monday that the three people were arrested while they tried to obstruct an operation by the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) in which their colleagues in the Boda boda 2010 were arrested and are not related to guns recovered from Kitatta’s Vehicle neither the military equipment picked from Boda boda 2010’s office in Wakaliga.

The court however put Kitatta and nine of his co-accused to their defense after evidence brought against them by the prosecution incriminated them to the charges.
